Macie (Susan)'s Story...
Macie and her eight brothers and sisters were rescued from a local nursery in Homestead where their mother was hit by a car and killed. The nine puppies were in danger and desperately needed of some TCL. Thanks to one of our volunteers and foster parents, the nine puppies were rescued and are now happy, healthy and full of love. They are very sweet, playful and they love to play in the water (email us for a video!). All nine puppies will be fully vetted before adoption. Please email us for additional information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macie (Susan), a Homestead Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Homestead, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Homestead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homestead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homestead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homestead paves the way for another one to be saved.
