Dorothy's Pup 7's Story...
Adopt a friendly, playful, snuggly puppy! All Second Chance puppies are already spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and infused with extra love and cuddles. They need to be taught all those good things that puppies need to learn in order to grow up to be adult dogs, of course. A puppy is a project! But there's nothing these little ones would love more than to grow right up into your family. This puppy was born in the middle of May 2015. If you're in love, please fill out an adoption survey and let's get started!

Dorothy and her 9 puppies (yes 9!) were living outside on the streets when a kind woman took them in and saved them. Dorothy must be one amazing mom to keep 9 babies safe while trying to take care of herself as well. There are 4 boys and 5 girls in Dorothy's litter.

Dorothy is a Terrier mix (pictured) and weighs about 30 lbs. and the father of the puppy is completely unknown. Our best guess is these puppies are going to be between 25-35 lbs.

They will be ready to go to their new homes around mid July (most likely the weekend of the 11) but it may change if they are not big enough to be spayed/neutered.

We think it is very important that everyone picks a puppy not on their looks but by their personality. That is why we do not accept applications on certain puppies when we have litters. We will be setting up meet and greets before their surgery and after they are spayed/neutered they will be ready to go to their forever homes.

If you are interested in meeting the puppies please submit an application by visiting our website, www.RuffLove.org

The adoption fee for puppies (8 months and younger) is $250 and includes the puppy being up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered.

To meet Dorothy's Pup 1 please e-mail us at secondchanceLV@gmail.com
** or view our website, www.RuffLove.org to see when you can meet him/her at one of our adoption events.

*Please be aware that we can not adopt out puppies that will grow to be larger than 40+ pounds to an apartment or condominium

We are a non-profit organization ran by 100% unpaid volunteers, the adoption fee for each animal is to help offset the costs of running the rescue (medical care, food, shelter, etc) and to ensure that we can continue helping animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dorothy's Pup 7, a Las Vegas Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
