Vee's Story...
Little Vee went home with a family that she thought would be her forever family. They liked her, but they didn't realize that their home was not a good situation for a puppy. With both working, Vee was alone all day and in a crate. She wanted to run and play and be with people, and they soon realized that they hadn't been fair to her. But they wanted her to have a good home and didn't want to give her to just anyone, so they contacted ARF. Vee is 11-12 weeks old and about 7-8 pounds. She will be a small to medium doggie when she grows up. ARF has been told that she is part beagle and part basset hound. She is so much fun to watch as she plays with a toy in the yard! Such enthusiasm and zest for life! What a sweet little girl who would bring lots of enjoyment into a home! Give her a look!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vee, a Ripley Beagle/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in Ripley, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Ripley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ripley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ripley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ripley paves the way for another one to be saved.
