Dusty's Story...
Dusty will be one year old in April, and he is a lovely boy. He is pretty and friendly and he loves to play fetch! He is about 52 pounds of great dog! Dusty came to ARF as a surrender on Feb. 20, and he was neutered on Feb. 24. He is one of the favorite clients at the boarding facility where he is staying! But he deserves a home and family of his own. He deserves to be loved and to be given good care and toys! He likes toys! Don't let this one get away!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dusty, a Ripley Australian Cattle Dog/Norwegian Elkhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Norwegian Elkhound for sale in Ripley, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Norwegian Elkhound dog from a breeder in Ripley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ripley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ripley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Norwegian Elkhound breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Norwegian Elkhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ripley paves the way for another one to be saved.
