Sissy's Story...
Sissy was a little shy when she came outside, but she probably wanted to get back in out of the wind and the cold. The sun was shining, but it had little warmth. Sissy is being surrendered by a family who love animals but who have too many to take care of properly. ARF has promised to help with spay, neuter, and placement of as many as they will surrender. These dogs have lived inside, so they are likely house trained. Sissy is about a year old and weighs about 12 pounds. There are children in the home, so the dogs have all been around children. Dogs were dewormed on 2/21. These are sweet little dogs that haven't had a lot of individual attention with so many in the home. Sissy would be a great little dog for someone who would speak softly and give her lots of love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sissy, a Ripley Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Ripley, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Ripley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ripley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ripley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ripley paves the way for another one to be saved.
