Monica's Story...
Monica is the perfect LITTLE lady! She is the tiniest in the litter of 3 that includes Rachel and their brother Phoebeo. The litter was an owner surrender to a high kill shelter. The owner says his shitzu is the mother and the father belonged to his neighbor and was a short haired chihauhau. The litter is currently 13 weeks old (as of 6-26-15). They are all EXCELLENT on potty pads and doing very, very well at learning to go outside also. They are all happy, healthy and wanting their forever home. Because they are all under 5 lbs and fragile, they would be too delicate for small children. But they love everyone and every dog they have ever met, except the big ones they are a little leery of at first.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monica, a Ridgecrest Shih Tzu/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua for sale in Ridgecrest, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Ridgecrest.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgecrest already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgecrest breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Chihuahua breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgecrest paves the way for another one to be saved.
