Richard's Story...
Meet little Richard. He is a Chiweenie. This sweet little boy was dumped off in the middle of nowhere and picked up by a wonderful lady who then brought him here to the rescue. He was in remarkably good condition so he wasn't on his own for very long. He made himself right at home here immediately! Plays nicely with all the dogs and pups and will take a nap with the cats! He is estimated to be about 22 months old and he weighs about 10 pounds, perfect snuggle size! He is heart worm negative and up to date on all of his shots. He is spoiled here, gets to sleep in my bed every night! Wouldn't you just love to adopt this sweet little boy? ADOPTION FEE $450

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Richard, a Newark Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Newark, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Newark.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newark already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newark breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newark paves the way for another one to be saved.
