My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Franklin here! He's a happy and energetic mix that's around 3 years old. Franklin was rescued from the Lorain County Kennel and is ready and waiting at Friendship for an active home. His history is not known but he's been a well behaved guest since his arrival. When he returns from his training he'll be the best dog he can be.

On August 06, 2015 Franklin was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. He is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting this prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. This dog will be returning to Friendship in a few weeks so get your adoption app in ASAP. You can find an app at friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. Hand deliver the app to Friendship or call if you live a distance away to see if you can fax one in. Please do not email the app.

If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321. Or email at adoptions@friendshipapl.org.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
