Samantha is a 5 y/o female who found herself at a local shelter in need of a new home. At 13+inches and 18 pounds, she is a petite little beauty.
Middle age is a great time for a beagle. They are still lively and playful, but don’t have the need to get into trouble all the time. Samantha certainly fits the bill. She plays well with her foster siblings and has been seen playing "crazy dog" a time or two, but has that calm, laid-back personality that makes her a delight to have in your home. She enjoys hunting for squirrels with the boys and wrestling with the pup of the pack, but excels in flying around the yard with the pack baying in her wake! Samantha is 100% housebroken and knew how to use the dog door as soon as she saw one. Samantha is crate trained, but has great house manners so has earned the run of the house. She will go into a crate at meal time or to get a treat, but she is a polite eater and does not need kenneling. Samantha walks well on a leash but is all beagle when a good scent crosses her path! She can be vocal when someone is walking on her block, so may not be a good candidate for an apartment.
Samantha is a sweet and loving girl who rarely demands your attention. She is very appreciative of any attention that comes her way and would do well in a home where she would have some one on one time with her person!
