Facts about Heidi

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 7246257
  • Hair: Short
Heidi was rescued from a neighborhood is Hampton.  She was very thin and it was obvious that she was struggling to survive.  Initially we thought she was the mother of 6 little kittens seen in the same neighborhood.  We tired to trap them but they kept disappearing.  Finally we were able to catch 2  of them but sadly they tested positive for Feline Leukemia.  Since we thought they were Heidi's kittens we had to hold her for 6 months and then retest her to make sure she was negative.

Heidi was a very good sport and accepted her confinement like a trooper.  Finally the 6 months were over and happily Heidi tested negative and is now ready to go to her new family.  She is a beautiful brown and white tabby cat with extremely soft fur.  She loves to play (see her video) and is very gentle.  At the same time, Heidi is interested in everything and always wants to know what is going on.  One of her favorite games is Hide and Seek and she loves to get under her little bed and peek out.

If you'd like to meet Heidi, please contact her Foster Mom, Betty, at 757-508-5298.

About A New Beginning Feline Rescue and Adoption, Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501 (c) non profit "no kill" rescue organization. We concentrate our efforts to save stray and abandoned cats.

Our mission is to find "Forever Homes for Felines"
We have been successful in saving over 600 cats and kittens since our organization was formed in 2006.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Because we are not a shelter, all of our cats are placed in foster homes. We show our available cats by appointment only or at adoption events which are held twice monthly at the Hampton Petco Store on Colisuem Drive. We post these dates on our website as well as running an ad in the local paper, The Daily Press. Please call us if you have questions about one of our adorable loving cats or kittens.

Our Adoption Process...

We only adopt to families in the above Hampton Roads, VA area. We require a pre-adopt application process before the adoption and adoption contract can be completed. We require references and prefer a vet reference, if possible. Our current adoption fee is $120.00.
We require that our cats be strictly indoor cats unless a barn cat has been placed.
