My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is being fostered in Oklahoma and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

NAME: Lucy
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 4 months
WEIGHT: About 3 Pounds (may grow to 4 lbs)
DOGS/CATS: Loves other small dogs, Unsure with cats
CHILDREN: Due to her small size, we suggest an all adult home

I love Lucy, and I bet you will too. Named after Lucille Ball from the "I Love Lucy" tv show, this fun little girl will steal your heart quickly!

Lucy came to CRT with her two brothers (Ricky and Desi) as tiny puppies who needed bottle feeding. They have all been wonderful from the beginning of their lives and we are so excited that they have grown enough to have their vet work completed, and are ready for a forever home.

Lucy gets along great with the other small dogs in her foster home. She loves to play with them and to run and tumble. She holds her own, and often initiates the play time with all the other dogs. Lucy also loves playing with her toys. She especially loves to play fetch and tug-of-war with the other puppies. Lucy definitely has energy and enjoys life so much.

Lucy also likes to go outside and play in the sun. She loves to run through the yard and is fascinated with sticks! Because of her tiny size, you will want to be out in the yard with her to protect her (there are cases of larger birds such as hawks snatching tiny dogs less than 5 pounds and flying off with them).

Lucy loves humans of all ages. Her favorite thing is to be held and cuddled. At the end of long day of playing, she will crawl up into your lap, curl up, and snuggle with you. She also loves to snuggle in blankets. If you enjoy having a sweetheart to cuddle with, Lucy is perfect for you.

Lucy is really smart. She has already learned to use pee pee pads, and she is working on learning to potty outside. She has also learned to "sit" and we think she can learn other commands too as she if very attentive. Lucy is crate trained and loves to snuggle in her crate at night under her soft blankets.

Lucy is tiny right now - only 3 pounds. She is the smallest of all the puppies in her litter. We believe she will be about 4 pounds when fully grown. Due to her tiny size, we recommend an all adult home for Lucy.

Lucy may be small, but she has a lot of love to share. She is excited about finding a forever home where she can grow up with a lot of love. She will cuddle and love you forever.

Lucy is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. He is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
