My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tessie
Born 3/30/15
Seal Point Ragdoll

Tessie is an adorable, beautifully marked Seal Point Ragdoll with stunning blue eyes and soft fur but has a rather sad story.

When she was brought in May to the veterinary clinic where one of our foster moms is employed, she had a femur fracture on one of her hind legs. Her owner's five-year-old child had injured her, and the family surrendered her to the clinic. Fortunately, Tessie did not need surgery, but her condition required cage rest for five weeks until her fracture had healed. You can imagine how difficult it was for a highly energetic kitten to be caged for five weeks! She had plenty of attention from the vet technicians at the clinic during that time but very little contact with other animals and, of course, no experience living in a home environment.

Little Tessie is now in foster care, settling in and learning the ropes of socialization. She is very energetic and playful and loves humans but can be a bit nippy, so small children would not be a good match for her. At this point, she watches other kittens play and seems very interested but doesn’t yet join the fun.

We are hoping to find a home for Tessie where someone is at home most days or most of the day. She would be very happy as a single kitten but could, with appropriate introductions, adjust to another younger cat. She has also had some experience with cat-friendly dogs and would do well in a home with a patient dog who would not mind the way kittens play.

Tessie will come to you fully vaccinated, tested, microchipped, and spayed.

She is fostered in Davis, CA
