Joey's Story...
Looking for unconditional love? You’re at the right place!

This adorable kitty came to Friends for Life after being born without a home to go to. He had an injury to his back right leg, but he’s healing very well from surgery! He has no idea he has one less leg than his furry friends, so he definitely won’t let it slow him down!

Joey is super affectionate, loves being held, and loves to chat with you. He has the sweetest personality and an insatiable curiosity. He’s still young and very adaptable to new environments, so make this cutie a part of your forever home today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
