Punk is doing very well at her foster home. This playful, sweet, 30-lb border collie is raring to hang out with you! She loves a car ride, whether you're visiting friends and family or just going out to the local pet store. And her second favorite activity is walking around the neighborhood and exploring -- she is great on leash. She has learned to sit at crosswalks to wait for traffic to clear, too.
She loves her routine: out for a walk in the morning, back for breakfast in her plastic toy, out to potty, then a little play. She settles down in the morning to nap, and will happily hang around until dinner in the evening and then a long walk and some play. She'll bring you a squeaky toy to toss so she can bring it back, and she loves to run through her tricks and learn new ones. This week she learned "shake" -- it took less than 10 minutes to teach her! We're also teaching her to come when called -- sometimes she gets distracted with outside sights and smells.
She loves attention and will come to you to be petted. She also loves a good belly rub. Punk is afraid of rain, and when she senses a storm, she will curl up in a quiet, dark corner until the rain passes - after that, she's up and around and ready to play.

Meet Punk! Punk is a 30-lb, 4-year-old, fun-loving smooth coated border collie who is ready for adventure. She'll jump in the car any time and will happily go wherever you go. She greets people and other dogs politely and calmly, and already has made many human and dog friends. She knows "sit," "down," "drop it," and "touch," and we're working on her recall. Punk's an incredibly fast learner and will gladly take on just about any challenge. She has a great off-switch and will curl up in a quiet corner while you work or watch TV. But she does like to run and jump! Originally bred as a herding dog, Punk is swift as the wind, so her forever home should have a high fence and plenty of room to roam. She's always ready for a walk, too, and behaves well on leash. Punk does have her opinions, however, whether it's about the birds that she can see from the window or the toys she likes (mostly squeaky). She wants me to tell you that she absolutely does not want cats or other small critters in her forever home.
