My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bleu is a calm and gentle 4 ½ year old Blue Dane with natural ears. He came to rescue due to an out of state move. Bleu has completed obedience and has wonderful manners. He gets along with small dogs and kids and cats are an unknown. Larger male dogs have been an issue in the past but since he just got neutered things seem to be improving. Patience is key to introducing him to other dogs.
He is a total love bug who just wants to be near his people. He has some separation anxiety and cannot be in a crate but he is totally trustworthy in the house when you are not home. As long as he doesn’t feel confined he does really well. Due to his anxiety we think he would do better in a home where someone is home a lot, as it would help him to feel more secure.
Bleu lived at a home with horses and he regularly attended horse shows. He was quite popular at the shows! He also lived with chickens and did a great job of protecting them against deer and foxes.
Bleu currently is living with a larger female Dane and is adjusting well and trying to follow her lead.
Bleu is calm and gentle and would be a great dog for a first time Dane owner. He is still quite active and loves to play with his favorite orange ball. Given this he will do best in a home with a fenced yard for him to play. Bleu came to MAGDRL in June 2015 (5).
