Selena's Story...
How beautiful is Selena? This pint sized cutie is a 7 year old mini Dachshund mix who is in need of a forever new home! She was found as a stray, and even with a microchip her owners were not able to be found. She is a happy and friendly girl, who immediately started playing and running around with her doggy roommates. She has about 3/4 length tail, we don't know if she was born that way or something happened to her, but she wags it with great enthusiasm! Selena has been spayed, is current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet this spunky sweetheart at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Selena, a Benbrook Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
