Hello Sir Casey here.
I'm a 9yr old American Cocker Spaniel and up until a few months ago I lived with my mom in NE Ohio.
She was having some issues with dementia so she went into assisted living where she could get the help she needed and I came to be a Cherished Cocker.
I have a few health issues that are currently being managed with medications.
The first is seizures. I take 2 meds for those and after an adjustment period with my foster family I've only had 1 breakthrough seizure which they tell me is normal.
These meds come with a few side effects, the biggest being that my back legs are a little weak so I seem kinda dopey at times.
The other issue I have is dry eye so I get drops in my right eye twice a day. I don't mind though, I get treats for sitting still!
I love treats. As a matter of fact I was pretty chunky when I came to my foster family (my mom used to feed me cheeseburgers because she loved me so much).
I've lost some weight due to lack of cheeseburgers and the fact I must keep track of my foster mom no matter where she goes.
So I get a lot more exercise than I was used to and love comes with lots of ear scratches and petting.
I'm a happy laid back older gentleman and I live happily with 3 foster siblings although I don't really play with them, I do bark at them if they start getting too rowdy.
I'm looking for someone who is low key but will stay committed to continued activity and diet to keep me slimmed down because I feel so much better without the extra pounds.
Casey is HW negative, neutered and up to date on all vaccinations
