Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Red is a handsome, fawn and black Belgian Malinois. He is approximately 4-5 years old and weighs 60 pounds. He only has three teeth which are premolars on the bottom, right side. Because of his missing teeth, his tongue often hangs out the side of his mouth. We have experimented with various types of foods including canned food and dehydrated food mixes and determined that he does best with a small sized dry kibble. (Many dogs with teeth don't actually chew up dry kibble before swallowing it anyway.)
He loves playing ball and going for walks and would make an excellent running and hiking buddy. He already knew some basic obedience commands and has great leash manners. He is very sweet and affectionate and is a "velcro dog" and prefers to stay very close to his person.
Red has a wonderful personality...his energy level is calm most of the time but his drive increases during times of activity and play.
He does well with older kids and other dog and seems to be cat-neutral.
MTGSR pulled him from Rutherford County PAWS in Murfreesboro, TN.
All dogs adopted from Middle Tennessee German Shepherd Rescue are spayed/neutered, current on all vaccinations and microchipped and our adoption fee is $250. For more information or to request an adoption application, please email us at adoption.mtgsr@gmail.com
PLEASE NOTE: Our philosophy is “Rescue locally, place locally” which means we primarily pull dogs from shelters in the Nashville area AND we prefer to place our dogs in homes within a one-hour drive of Nashville. If you are outside of the Nashville area, please consider adopting a homeless dog in your local community.
