My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sid is a 10lb poodle mix baby approximately 10 months. He was found on the streets by Kane County Animal Control. When he came in he was nippy with people. He had a massive tumor growing in his mouth and did not want anyone playing with it. He was taken into our foster organization where i have been fostering him every since. Within a day he fell in love and was all love and kisses. He used to rub his tumor on my cheek and scratch me with his scraggly tooth just wanting to be loved and held. We took him to the vet and a specialist suggested the expensive surgery of having it removed. This required removing a small portion of his jaw. Although drooly and agitated after his surgery, he just wanted to be held and to eat dinner. The vet warned that his road to recovery could be difficult, but to everyone's amazement, he was a fighter and got back on his feet the next day running and playing and eating like all the other dogs. He is still a little guarded with new people but once he learns that you are there to love him, he becomes all snuggles.
He is potty trained most of the time. Occasionally he has an accident, not sure why but it happens. He is fully vetted and neutered. He loves to play with socks but other then that never chews on anything.
We don't know what the long term effect will be from having that tumor, but right now he is a healthy normal dog looking for a good home to care for him. He does live with a cat and is fine with them. He does not live with kids and hasn't really been around them so I'm not sure how he feels about children.
Sid is available for adoption now. If you are interested please give his foster mom a call Lisa at 630-881-8335. If not please feel free to donate to help pay for his surgery. He would greatly appreciate it!! I have posted his before and after photos of his tumor. It is normal for his tongue to hang out of his mouth now due to the portion of his jaw missing. He normally keeps it in until he gets tired then he just lets it all hang out. Its hilarious. I do make sure to keep him properly hydrated, but he really has no issues with it ans still loves to give kisses. Thank you for your inquiries or donations!!!! The adoption fee is $200.
