My name is Phantom. I am a one-year-old beautiful dwarf Maine coon cat that will always remain 5 pounds.
I was found in the dead of the winter with my companion Beauty and when I don't see him I let out a little meow. My favorite place to be is sleeping in the curve of his belly. I am a special-needs cat because I have lived on the streets and this has made me very scared of people and I need a quiet home with a person or people who are willing to be patient with me until I feel safe. I have been neutered, tested and vaccinated and have been enjoying the comfort of being fostered all winter and I am now looking for a special someone who has experience with rescue cats to help me continue on my journey to find love for me and my brother.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PHANTOM, a Great Neck Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Great Neck, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Great Neck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Neck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Neck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Neck paves the way for another one to be saved.
