Phoenix's Story...
PHOENIX was found as a stray in Troy, TN. He was in the Troy pound but was not claimed by an owner, so he is now hoping to find new life and a new home with a family who will appreciate his very friendly and sweet ways. All the volunteers who have met him say what a nice dog he is. He gets along well with the other dogs he has met at the rescue. His foster says that he is an awesome dog who will make a great pet for some lucky family. He is estimated to be almost two years old and weighs 69 pounds so he will be a large dog. He has been vetted, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He tested light heartworm positive but will be receiving treatment for that. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Phoenix if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover the cost of the veterinary care he has received and a microchip..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoenix, a Union City Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Union City, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
