My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are Reno (red/black/tan about 1 year old) and Tahoe (black/tan/white about 2.5 years old) and we were found in the median on a busy street in southwest Houston. We were lured over by this young, pretty siberian husky girl to trust the humans who had treats and leashes. Once they got us leashed, we started to freak out a little as we've never been on a leash before nor had we gotten into a car. Since no one recognized us and we weren't microchipped (apparently it's important to have those!), we were taken to a vet clinic for boarding. Over the next two weeks the humans posted flyers in the neighborhoods and online but no one called looking for us. It's too bad we can't talk so we could tell them where our humans are but sadly, we can't. Since our humans didn't find us, we will be available for adoption soon thru Texas Sled Dog Rescue. In the two weeks we've been in boarding, we've learned how to walk on the leash and it's not so scary anymore. We also got a good bath and brush out which I, Reno really liked but my older brother, Tahoe, not so much.

We are both sweet boys and enjoy getting attention. The humans are still debating our heritage but they think we are wooly Siberian Husky mixed with Finnish Lapphunds which is rare here in the US. The two breeds have similar personality traits that include having wonderlust so we can not be off leash except in a secure, enclosed area or else we will run and won't see us again - it's probably how we got lost! We are also high energy and need a "job" to keep ourselves busy and mind sharp. We would love to stay together but know that might not be possible but we are crossing our paws tight that we can. Would you like two happy boys to join your pack?
