My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Baby and I am a beautiful 10 year old Jardine's parrot. I am a medium sized bird with a big personality. My previous parront had me for 10 years, but didn't have enough time for me any longer so I came to the Florida Parrot Rescue to find my forever family! I can say a few words like bless you, baby, baby boy, pretty boy and other things in a little robot voice that that my foster mom hasn't quite figured out yet. I whistle, make kissy noises and lots of other funny sounds. I wasn't on the best diet when I came into the rescue so my foster mom is making me try lots of healthy pellets, fresh fruit, and vegetables. I love eating and I'll try just about anything. As you may have noticed, I started to pluck a few feathers on my chest. My foster mom thinks that with a healthy diet, lots of baths, and new toys to play with, that I will let them all grow back. I have a brand new play-top cage that I have a great time on. I like hanging out on top so that I can watch over everyone! Currently, I prefer to climb up and down on my own but I'm working on learning how to step up. I'm a little shy but with some time, love, and patience I will make a great companion.
