My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello my name is Eli. My story is one of triumph, bravery and maintaining a sweet disposition despite being dealt a very rough hand. I was abandoned in the middle of nowhere during the coldest part of the year. I was hungry and cold. One night I found an old doghouse in someone’s yard and crawled into it. The next morning a wonderful couple found me. At first I was very frightened but they made sure I had a blanket and food so I started trusting again. Eventually they were able to touch me and realized just how thin I was and that I had a skin condition so I had little hair to keep me warm. This sweet couple called the local dog rescues whom then got me to a Veterinarian and took care of all my health problems coming from being malnourished. I went to live with another wonderful couple who welcomed me into their dog family and now I am just one of the dogs. I am happy to see people now because they mean love and happiness. They take me on nice long walks and love me.
I get along with everyone and love watching the daily events on the front porch. I am partially blind in one eye as the result of an injury in my wilderness days but I get around just fine. The veterinarian thinks I am about two and a half to three years old. My coat is beautiful and shiny now. I am a good looking dog if I do say so, someday I will show just how pitiful I did look before. I have lots of love to give and would love to have my forever home.
