Cyrus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Cyrus's Story...
Cyrus is a handsome 6 year old Chow/German Shepherd mix who weighs 74 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm tested and micro chipped.
Cyrus gets along well with other dogs and cats. He loves to go for walks and isn’t bad on a leash. He likes to be outside exploring his yard and for that reason we would like to find him a home with a fenced yard. This guy is great with kids and adults alike, he likes anyone who will give him some love. Cyrus is housetrained and happy to sleep in a dog bed near his people.
Cyrus needs a new home because his dad got sick and had to move to an assisted living facility and could no longer care for him.
The adoption application can be completed at www.furfunrescue.org. For more information about Cyrus please contact Rox at Rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657.
Indoor homes only.
Adoption donation $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cyrus, a Lisbon Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Lisbon, or seeking a Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Lisbon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lisbon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lisbon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lisbon paves the way for another one to be saved.
