Athena's Story...
Hi there! Nice to meet you, my name is Athena. I was rescued by Safehome Animal Rescue from a shelter in Quebec.
I am a 3-4 year old female Persian, perfectly healthy, fully vaccinated with up-to-date shots, and spayed. I am friendly and cuddly; I run to greet you when you come home, and will headbutt you until you pet me and give me attention... and I love to chat! However, I am initially shy, and being in new places scares me, so it takes me a bit of time to get settled. All it takes is a little patience, and you'll soon see I have a beautiful personality to match my looks! I am looking for a home with no animals. Please let us know if you're interested in applying to take me home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Toronto/GTA Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Toronto/GTA, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Toronto/GTA.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto/GTA already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto/GTA breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto/GTA paves the way for another one to be saved.
