Roza is a delightful little girl with a true red Brussels Griffon coat. Roza is such a sweetheart and she will definitely steal your heart away. She needs a dog savvy owner who is experienced with dogs who need help with inappropriate behavior towards strangers. If there is another dog in the home, a submissive male would be the best companion. No cats.

Roza is apprehensive around new folks and situations. She would do best in a quiet home with a dog savvy person that works from home and can spend time working with Roza. She will not be placed in a home with children because she cannot tolerate their activity & noise level. She would love a securely fenced yard to explore, at least one walk every day and lots of cuddle time with you. Roza is just looking for love and reassurance…someone who will have ample time to love on her, keep her close, and keep her as active as she is today. She really does want to please and feel like she is "OK" and loved.

Roza absolutely loves to play with toys. We have two separate boxes of toys and Roza will dig and dig through the toy boxes until she finds just the right one for her, and then she loves to throw the toy up in the air to play with it. She will also stand on her hind legs on occasion and do a lil jig! She gets along with most small male dogs, but would do best as an only dog because she wants ALL your love!

When we pulled this sweet baby out of the shelter she was so scared and neglected. She is normally a very happy, active, loving and smart little girl, but she still needs reassurance and someone to help her build her self-confidence with new people and situations. Roza's DOB is 8/3/07 and she weighs 22 pounds. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, & heart worm negative.

Roza is currently being fostered in Boulder, Colorado and an approved adopter must be willing to drive there. Our dogs may never be shipped in cargo and we do not transport them to adoptive homes. A securely fenced yard is strongly preferred and they are never placed in homes with invisible (electric) fencing. Doggy doors are OK as long as they are secured at night and when you are gone. Roza is small enough to be carried away by a coyote or attacked by another predator so should never be outside alone. She must always be securely harnessed and leashed outside a fenced area and crated or seat belted in the back seat when in a vehicle.

About American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance, Inc - CO

About Our Rescue Group...

ABGRA (American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance) & AAR (American Affenpinscher Rescue) is a non-profit national rescue group founded to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers. We strive to leave no Griff or Affen behind and rescue these breeds from commercial breeding facilities and city/county shelters when foster home space is available. We also accept owner surrendered Griffs and Affens. We are an all foster home based rescue that provides complete vetting for our dogs prior to adoption.

American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance Inc. (ABGRA) and American Affenpinscher Rescue (AAR) came into being to meet the needs of the Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers who are abandoned, might be abandoned, or whose circumstances we can improve.
We are especially mindful of the Griffs and Affens that have spent their lives in commercial breeding facilities and who will have a chance at a better life through our efforts. We also rescue both breeds from animal shelters and accept owner surrendered Griffs and Affens.
ABGRA, & our subsidiary AAR, is a non-profit national rescue group.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All adoptions go through our website-
We do not have a kennel facility and place all of our Griffons and Affens by application. All of our rescued dogs are living in foster homes where public viewing is not possible.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption donations are from $200 - $350 and reflect the vetting costs incured for each dog as well as some dogs whose costs far exceed the donation.
We interview all references provided and require a home visit before placements. An adoption contract is required. If the dog is returned within 30 days, a refund will be issued. ABGRA requires adopters be 25 years old, or older, and are looking for stable permanent adoptors. In most cases, these breeds are not recommened for families with young children or for people who are not home for long periods of time. They are the perfect pet for someone who can take their dog to work with them, work from home, or are retired.
