Appalonia's Story...
Appalonia is a beautiful Tabby girl with the most exquisite swirl patterns in her coat and a cute pink nose. She was born outside to a stray mother kitty along with her siblings Gabby and Caleb. She has been raised in a home so she is quite social and friendly and seems comfortable being around people. Appalonia loves playing with her siblings and has adjusted fairly quickly to her temporary home here at APRA. She is sure to make a wonderful lifetime companion. If you would like to adopt, please visit Atlanta Pet Rescue's 'How to Adopt' page for adoption information, application form and adoption hours. Love the cat, but now is not the time to adopt? Why Adoption is a Great Option

Appalonia, a Atlanta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
