Zeus's Story...
We've got the Seven Wonders of the World in puppy form! These seven Black Lab blend pups came to us from a rescue south of Atlanta, and we think they're going to grow into BIG dogs. Already 8-10 pounds at only 2 months of age, we can only imagine they'll be Lab-sized! While it may be difficult to choose between them all with their similar markings, we ask that you take some extra time to familiarize yourself with proper puppy upkeep. They're cute and cuddly now, but between leash-training, potty-training, and basic command-training, they're going to be a lot of work. It is also critical that while they're young, they get appropriate exposure to other dogs, people and environments so they will mature into well-socialized dogs. It's crucial they get these lessons at a young age (and small size!) before they grow into 80-100 pound puppy-like adults. If you would like to adopt, please visit Atlanta Pet Rescue's 'How to Adopt' page for adoption information, application form and adoption hours. Love the dog, but now is not the time to adopt? Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Atlanta Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
