Dean's Info...

Dean's Story...
Dean came to APRA with two of his siblings. They’re still young, but we expect them to grow to a medium-large Lab size. They’re still settling in here, and haven’t quite figured out how to play with the toys they have, but we can’t wait to see them grow a little bigger and a little stronger. They whine for attention when you approach the fence, but good luck snapping a picture! They have no interest in posing; they just want your love and attention. If you’re ready for the challenges of raising a puppy and prepared to help him be the best pup he can be, come meet these three! If you would like to adopt, please visit Atlanta Pet Rescue's 'How to Adopt' page for adoption information, application form and adoption hours. Love the dog, but now is not the time to adopt? Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dean, a Atlanta Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
