My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lenny is a true miracle cat. His journey started when a good samaritan found him injured and hungry. He had massive facial and head trauma and was likely struck by a car. His jaw was visibly broken in three places on one side, the palate (roof of his mouth)was split in half, his tongue terribly damaged, and one eye was beyond repair. Lenny's injuries would have led most anyone to humanely euthanize him when he was found, but Lenny had such a very strong will to live, still happy through his pain and longing for human affection.. every person along the way was sucked in by him. CASA staff, Camano Vet, his surgeon Dr O'Rourke at the Animal Care Center.. everyone became part of Team Lenny. It was a rough road but with the help of his foster mom, who had also the CASA staff person to take the initial call about him, he really did win this battle to live.

Lenny's palate proved to be the hardest injury to fully repair. In the end there was just not enough tissue to close it up 100% and because of this Lenny needs to be monitored closely for sinus infections. Other than this one lingering medical issue, and the fact he sports only one eye these days, Lenny is as charming and loving as ever. He will need a strictly indoor only home. He is great with other cats, and seems to be more comfortable with larger cat-friendly dogs. A quieter and low stress home would be best. Come see Lenny at CASA. He is looking for a very special home.
