Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Allie is a 9 pound female Yorkie Poo or Havanese. She is charcoal gray, and is 1.5 years old. Allie came to us from her owner who was moving to an apartment that did not allow pets.
Allie is cute as a button, great with other dogs and very loving. She has led a sheltered life with her former owner, so is a bit shy at first. After a few treats, Allie is all cuddles and kisses.
Allie is living in a foster home. Here's what her foster mom ahs to say about her:
Allie is really coming out of her shell. She is a little timid meeting new people, but not frightened (or snappy) anymore. And her "submissive peeing" is greatly reduced. It will happen if she's startled, but not normally when she meets someone new.
She's now showing her playful side with both my dogs and me. Yesterday I introduced her to 3 kids, ages 5, 9, and 11, and she did fine. Now I will say these were great kids who have a dog of their own, so they know how to act with a dog. After the initial introduction, she accepted treats (apple) from them and licked their hands in appreciation!
She sleeps in the bed with me. The first night she slept in a crate, but decided the next night she didn't want to sleep alone. I just put a small doggie bed on my bed and she curls up in that and sleeps all night.
I believe (except for the occasional "submissive pee") that she's trained. She poops on our morning walk and occasionally in the late afternoon. I don't see her pee outside very often, but I believe she does since I can't find any puddles in my study (where the dogs are confined).
She walks well on lease, and sits while I put it on her. And she comes when I call.
Right now, she does have a little "separation anxiety" when I leave her alone. This may go away when she gets settled and secure in her new home. The problem goes away when she's left with my dogs.
She's a wonderfully sweet, well behaved little gal, who seems to enjoy calm adults, kids, and other dogs.
Allie has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $250.00.
If you are interested in adopting this cutie, please write us at PricelessPets4u@gmail.com and ask for an application to adopt. We are a foster-home based organization, and the adoption process starts when you submit your application. Once that has been approved, we can schedule a time for you to meet this pet.
