Kingsley's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Kingsley's Story...
This beautiful little pup was rescued from a pretty bad hoarding situation and is still very timid and shy around people. He is approx 5 months old and 17 lbs at July 1, 2015. He will be about 30 lbs when grown. He looks like a mini bearded collie/tibetan terrier mix. He is a really sweet boy and his foster mom says he is getting braver every day. He loves to be around the other dogs and will need a home where he has at least one playmate and a yard to run in and out to. He is not suitable for an apartment. He seems to get along with cats and has a really nice disposition. He will need some more house and leash training and some tlc while he overcomes his fears. He is a really super nice dog
If you live in MA, there are new requirements for rescue dogs - according to the State Law, all rescues have to be quarantined for 48 hrs at the Ben Elder Kennels in Westport, MA. There is additional cost for this quarantine and new required health cert by a licensed MA vet of $110. We will go over all fees with you via email. Also, The state of MA does not allow adoptions of dogs that are heart worm positive. We are required to do a foster to adopt until the dog tests heart worm negative, usually in 4-6 months after treatment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kingsley, a Woonsocket Bearded Collie/Tibetan Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bearded Collie/Tibetan Terrier for sale in Woonsocket, or seeking a Bearded Collie/Tibetan Terrier puppy from a breeder in Woonsocket.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woonsocket already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woonsocket breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bearded Collie/Tibetan Terrier breeders who help with Bearded Collie/Tibetan Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woonsocket paves the way for another one to be saved.
