This is a courtesy posting for Jake's owner. Please contact Michelle personally by the email in description. Jake lives in Arlington.
Jake is 4 yo Border Collie. He is the sweetest lovable dog. He loves to snuggle. He has no problems with cats or other dogs. He is house trained. You can leave him for several hours with no problems. Things Jake loves swimming, car rides, ball, herding sheep and just loves to hang out with he’s human. Jake is crated trained kennel trained. He sleeps in he’s kennel at night and is okay with it. But he would much rather sleep on the bed with you. Jake has never been around kids. I would prefer not to put him in a home with kids. I think Jake will try to herd them and maybe nip at them. Jake is a very healthy boy. He is up today on all shots and he is neutered. He also has a micro chip. Jake can be a little scared of new people. But if you show him love he warms right up to you. Jake walks well on a leash. But will pull a little if you don’t remind him not too. Jake needs a home that can give him a job and work he’s mind. He is a very smart boy and loves to learn. I want Jake to go to someone that has experience with this breed. Border Collies are working dogs and they love having a job. It breaks my heart to have to re-home Jake. But I must do what is best for him. That would be to find him a home that he is part of the family and he has a job using he’s mind. I am asking an adoption fee of $100. This money will be donated to Love a Mutt rescue. I would like to do a home check also. I would ask that if for any reason you are not able to give Jake a home for the rest of he’s life.
