My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marty is a 7 year old Boxer and Shepherd mix rescued from a high kill shelter. He is such a happy and affectionate guy. Marty loves being around people!! He walks decent on a leash. Marty likes to go for rides in the car. He is dog social. Unfortunately we do not know how Marty is with cats. His forever home requires a fenced yard where Marty can safely run and play. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccination, on heartworm preventative as well as house and crate trained. Marty is such a sweetheart. He may be a senior but he has so much more life to live. If you love older guys with some gray, experienced and who loves to give kisses, Marty is your guy!!

All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. Adoption applications are only available at our adoption events. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. Come meet Marty and the other adoptable dogs at the Make A Difference Rescue adoption event on Sundays at the Troy Petco from 12-4:30pm. Our adoption fee is $275.
