My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

KATHERINE
4 to 5 Year Old, Female, Lilac Point Ragdoll

This girl has such a sweet personality. Right from the first moment I brought her from the shelter, she said, “Thank You, Thank You! I love attention. Please pet and cuddle me."

She is the cuddliest kitty and she loves attention. I have no idea how she came to be in the shelter. Someone loved her very much. Did her owner pass away? Enter assisted living? Something happened. Normally a ragdoll would be super withdrawn and depressed. They are such emotional cats. Katherine is different; she just wanted for comfort and connection with humans. And she refused to eat. “Pet me, pet me. I love to see you. No I won’t eat!”

So we worried, but she came round and began to eat normally. She is a nice middle sized cat, a soft armful of warm silky fur. Of course her eyes are the beautiful ragdoll deep blue. Look at her big soft fuzzy feet. She loves to “make biscuits” with them.

If you look in the photos or in the video you can see she is missing a small piece of her left ear. It is a little circular piece on the edge, maybe about 1/4 of an inch in diameter. I am not sure what this was from. Was it a medical procedure? It does not look like any ear notch I have ever seen but it could be. If you are looking for a very inexpensive or free spay procedure you can take your cat to some shelters who will do the procedure but will “ear tip” her at the same time. It could be that or something else. It is a small thing but noticeable. It doesn’t harm her in any way; it is just part of who she is.

Katherine is looking for a warm, quiet home. She wants someone who wants to bond deeply with her and needs her company. She is not over fond of other cats though she gets along with gentle types. I have no idea how she feels about dogs.

She will make someone a great companion and will curl up on your lap and watch late night movies with you.

She is very beautiful but she is very camera shy, always turning her face away. I will work to get more photos of her for you.

She eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
