Edna's Story...
Once you see the smile on Edna's face, you won't be able to get her out of your mind. It boggles our mind that this beautiful Lab Mix female was set to be euthanized at a neighboring animal control. Luckily, we were able to save her and we are so happy to give this sweet girl second chance at happiness. Edna weighs 45 pounds and is 2 years old, so she has grown out of the puppy stages. Edna loves to play and is great with other dogs. She is currently housed at our rescue center and share her kennel with another dog, whom she loves to play with. This special black beauty is marked with white patches of fur on her paws and chest. Edna is working very hard to keep her kennel clean, and with consistent training, she should transition easily into your home rules. She is a friendly girl who loves everyone she meets. Edna is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. Some black dogs don't get the attention they deserve. Not Edna! She is a very special gal who gets second and third looks here at the center because she is so friendly. If you are ready for a rescue dog to love you unconditionally and become your new best friend, please submit an online adoption application for Edna at ITVRescue.org. We suggest you don't wait too long or this sweet girl will be gone!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Edna, a Evansville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
