Elektra's Story...
Elektra is one of the famous Phoenix puppies (that's momma dog Phoenix shown in the fourth photo here). Phoenix is a Mountain Cur and she is gorgeous. She produced 7 gorgeous puppies and given their close-to-death encounter they were all given super-hero names. We aren't certain what the dads were (they didn't hang around long enough to give anyone their names and addresses) but our veterinarian guesses that they could be mixed with Labrador Retriever. Phoenix and her puppies were slated for euthanasia at a high kill shelter. We stepped in and got her and her puppies out, placed them into a great foster home and now at 8 weeks, they are ready for their own homes. Please note: These dogs are not suitable for an apartment. They need to have a fenced yard, preferably a privacy fence, and an active family to help them with exercise requirements. For more information about the Mountain Cur breed please visit this website: http://www.dogster.com/dog-breeds/Mountain_Cur
Elektra is a super love bug puppy. She bright, playful and adores other dogs and children. She loves to play with her toys. She's the gregarious puppy, wants to be in the center of things, quite the little party gal. She is current on her vaccines, been dewormed, checked by our veterinarian and will be spayed and microchipped before she goes to her new home. We are currently accepting applications on her and her littermates.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elektra, a New Braunfels Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever for sale in New Braunfels, or seeking a Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in New Braunfels.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Braunfels already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Braunfels breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Mountain Cur/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Braunfels paves the way for another one to be saved.
