Cookie -- 3-year old B&W shortcoat female
Perfect for an active household where older children or adults want to play, play, play! Or even better, where her current roommate Tova resides with her.

Confident, assertive and yet quite willing to share, Cookie has graciously accepted the realities of living in a colony. How wonderful when visitors offer to play with her.

This lovely girl  is a beautiful black and white who knows what she wants, lives for the hunt, and she mostly wants to play. She lives for the chase. Cookie truly comes alive when a toy mouse is dangled from a wire, when feathers are darting to and fro. If you really want to see her come alive, try the laser pointer...She can bat at a cat dancer and chase the red dot all day long.

Cookie is one of those cats who rolls over for affection. She wants very much to be with people, but at Petco is sometimes nervous about being held. When she settles down onto a perch to rest, that’s the time for gentle pets.  Easy, gentle, light strokes and grooming are what’s okay with Cookie.  Too fast, or too rough and she can be easily overstimulated. So it’s a good idea to get to know her body language. Loves to be pet on the top of her head. Scratched under her chin.

Cookie and her roommate Tova both need homes where play is the main source of bonding and companionship.  She and Tova have been here a long time, waiting patiently.

About Whiskers, Tails and Ferals

About Our Rescue Group...

Whiskers, Tails and Ferals is a network of volunteers and foster families caring for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens who have been abandoned, are feral, or are facing the threat of being euthanized at an animal shelter.
All dogs and cats that come into our program are spayed or neutered, are tested for either heartworm or FeLV and possibly FIV, vaccinated, wormed (as needed) and micro-chipped.
All sick animals are immediately put under the care and supervision of a Napa veterinarian and Whiskers, Tails and Ferals pays for their medications.
The cats and kittens that are not able to be tamed, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and returned to their colonies where colony guardians continue to feed and care for them.
