My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, My name is Colt. I'm a 4 year old Purebred Treeing Walker Coonhound.
I was seized by the pound with my sister Breezy and 28 other dogs due to being neglected and having inhumane living conditions.
Our owner did end up surrendering all of us a few days after the seizure so we could all find new homes. The case is still pending in court.
My sister and I were lucky enough to get adopted really quickly. We were adopted by a nice lady that had our litter mate. Sadly, due to some unforeseen circumstances, she could no longer keep us and returned us to the pound so now we're looking for new homes. We lived in the house with her and we were doing great with our potty training. Sadly, due to some unforeseen circumstances, she could no longer keep us and returned us to the pound so now we're looking for new homes.
I do need a patient new family because I have typical Coonie shenanigans, ie counter surfing and I can be destructive if I am left alone unattended, so crating me while you're gone from home would be the best thing for me.
I absolutely LOVE other dogs and I LOVE to play.
I am very friendly and social with both people and other dogs.
If you're looking for a sweet, loving Coonhound to add to your family, please consider adopting me.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER SEPTEMBER 21, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY, MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
