Dutch's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Dutch's Story...
They call me Dutch. I am full of energy, charisma, and intelligence. I love to play in water especially in a bucket! I also like to chase frisbees and balls - Be sure to check out my video of me playing with my Jolly Ball. I play well with the other dogs here at my foster home but am initially suspicious of dogs I don’t know. I move with grace and balance. I’m not just strong of body – I’m also strong of heart and love my people. I can be very protective of my family so I need an ACD-savvy home in a quieter neighborhood or farm. I am eager to please so I don’t need someone to be harsh with me but I do need an owner who can work on training and keep my mind occupied as well as my body. I earned my Canine Good Citizen title this summer with my foster mom!

Dutch is a neutered 4-year-old blue male ACD. He is up to date on his shots, microchipped and heartworm negative. Dutch weighs about 38 pounds. Dutch is currently being fostered in Monroe, NC. Dutch should not be in a home with cats as he can’t resist chasing them. He would do best in a home without young children just because of his protective nature towards his family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dutch, a Siler City Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Siler City, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Siler City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Siler City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Siler City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Siler City paves the way for another one to be saved.
