Marley's Info...

Marley's Story...
Marley came to the shelter so that her needs could be met and her babies could be cared for as they grew. Marley has six beautiful little ones, one that has been promised, but Memphis (male) and Marietta, Magnolia, Maybeline, and Mae West (females) are available for adoption. The puppies are just over six weeks old and weigh between 10-13 pounds, so they will probably be big dogs. Marley is very calm and loving, and you may find her coming to rest her head in your lap while you are sitting. She gets along with other dogs and with cats and loves people big and small. Marley is between 5-6 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. She has been a wonderful mom to her babies, but she knows that it is time for them to become self-sufficient. She likes to come inside the lobby away from her babies, but still to go periodically to check on them and be sure they are okay.Marley wants to be someone's best friend and companion, so she is interviewing for her forever family at this time. Come see if she chooses you!

Act quickly to adopt Marley. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a Cottageville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Cottageville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Cottageville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottageville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottageville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottageville paves the way for another one to be saved.
