Aimee's Story...
When the shelter received a call about five 'pups' that had been dropped off at an elderly lady's home, they expected little babies and thought they could make room. When the siblings arrived, they were between 6-8 months old and pretty big! Rather than turn any of them away, they were brought in and somehow space was found for them. There are three girls (Aimee, Emmi, and Zayla) and two boys (Guiness and Knox). As different as these pups are, there may have been a lab mom and different dads. Though they haven't been handled a lot, they are so very kind and make up quickly. They need to be given some life experiences that they have never had, but it is so much fun to watch them learn! Aimee looks like a flat-coated retriever. She weighs about 20 pounds and has those fluffy retriever ears. She is one of those dogs who turns her head from side to side as she tries to understand. She is an adorable girl. These dogs are loveable and Aimee is probably the most playful one of all. Come say hello and get to know this lovely girl!

Act quickly to adopt Aimee. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aimee, a Cottageville Flat-Coated Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Cottageville, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Cottageville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottageville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottageville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottageville paves the way for another one to be saved.
