Floki's Story...
When they were four weeks old, a litter of feral kittens came to the shelter. The staff tried milk replacement, but they would have nothing to do with it. So they soaked some kitten food in milk and the babies ate it. Now the little ones are six weeks old, eating well, and have spent time in a home with a family who handled them. They decided this petting thing isn't bad, so now they want to be petted and they just purr and purr when someone is rubbing their ears! The siblings are Gyda, Violet, Petite, Siggy, Bjorn, and Floki. Floki is more reserved than his siblings. He is the loner who sits back and watches and watches before he decides that it is safe to join in the fun with his brothers and sisters. Floki is a cute little fella who would love to be in a home with a loving and understanding family who will give him time to trust. He's adorable!

Act quickly to adopt Floki. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Floki, a Cottageville Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Cottageville, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Cottageville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottageville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottageville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottageville paves the way for another one to be saved.
