Lucie's Story...
Puppy season has arrived, and we wish people would spay and neuter their pets so that there would be no orphan puppies with no family to love them. But here they are through no fault of their own. Are you a family who would love one or two of these little ones? The momma dog was a stray beagle mix who was waiting for room in the small community shelter, but she had this family at the home where she had gone for shelter. The little ones are just 5 weeks old now and have just come to a kennel of the shelter. There are four boys (Laz, Linton, Lenny, and Lambert) and two girls (Leelo and Lucie) in the litter. They are cute little puppies who would be great family pets. Lucie is a little girl but she weighed 4.6 pounds on intake and is presently the largest pup in the litter. She is a tan and white color. She seemed a little shy when the camera would flash, and she hid behind her stuffed rabbit to get away from it! But she is a curious little girl and wants to know about all the sounds and noises and new smells around her. She would be a fun new family member!

Act quickly to adopt Lucie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucie, a Cottageville Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Cottageville, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Cottageville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottageville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottageville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottageville paves the way for another one to be saved.
