Dan's Story...
Dan is a beautiful shade or red and he will be a beautiful dog when he gets a little more weight on him. He was a stray, and he hadn't been eating regularly when he came to the shelter. He is making up for it now and eating all he wants. He has gained a few pounds already to 39.2 pounds, and he will gain more! Dan is a little bit shy, but he makes up with people quickly. He just hasn't had a good life and doesn't know what to expect. He is only 10-12 months old, and he would be an awesome pet with someone who would teach him to trust and what it means to be loved! He's ready!

Act quickly to adopt Dan. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dan, a Cottageville Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Cottageville, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Cottageville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottageville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottageville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottageville paves the way for another one to be saved.
