Summer's Story...
Summer and her sisters Spring and Autumn are new guests at the shelter. They have been given baths and have spent some time with the staff learning that they are safe and will be treated kindly. These three sisters have very unique looks, like they may have had the same mother but different fathers. Autumn is the light-colored one - tan with some white - and she looks like she might be lab and heeler. Spring is black with white on her chest; she looks like lab and border collie. Summer is mostly black (including some wavy hair) with a tiny bit of white, and she looks like she may be lab and newfoundland. These girls have big paws and are likely to grow into big dogs. Autumn weighed 22.4 pounds on intake; Spring weighed 20.2 pounds on intake; Summer weighed 34.4 pounds on intake. The pups are 4 to 5 months old. These girls are a little shy right now, but they are loving the treats and petting. And they seem really smart! Come meet them and see for yourself!

Act quickly to adopt Summer. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Summer, a Cottageville Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland for sale in Cottageville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland dog from a breeder in Cottageville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottageville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottageville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottageville paves the way for another one to be saved.
