Teegan's Story...
Two little female dogs, feists and likely sisters, were dumped at a house in the country where an elderly gentleman lived with his brother. They let the two dogs stay and fed and took care of them. The two females had litters of puppies four days apart, and the twelve puppies were seven weeks old and eating on their own when they came to the shelter. The gentlemen who had taken in the momma dogs knew that they were in over their heads with all of these mouths to feed. So some of these puppies are litter mates and others are cousins, and we aren't sure which is which. They are cute babies with sweet natures. The neighbor owned a leopard cur, likely the dad to both litters of pups. Teegan is one of the black pups. She actually has a tiny bit of white on her chest if you look closely. She came to the shelter at 5.3 pounds. Teegan is a sweet little girl who'd love a new home and family to love her.

Act quickly to adopt Teegan. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teegan, a Cottageville Feist/Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Feist/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Cottageville, or seeking a Feist/Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy from a breeder in Cottageville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottageville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottageville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Feist/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Feist/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottageville paves the way for another one to be saved.
