Montana Skye's Story...
Montana Skye came to the shelter after being found and taken as a stray to the local veterinary clinic to keep her safe. She was given her name because of her beautiful blue eyes. She appears to be an Australian shepherd girl about six months old. Montana Skye weighed 17 pounds on intake. She has medium length hair which is mostly white but with spots that are a pale liver or sable color. Her tail has either been docked or she was born without a tail. This is a very pretty young girl who is happy and playful and would love to have a fenced yard in which to run and play. She didn't care much for hair bows, but she didn't complain too much about wearing one for her pictures. Montana Skye is a lovely young dog looking for a forever home and a job! Are you hiring?

Act quickly to adopt Montana Skye. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Montana Skye, a Cottageville Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Cottageville, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Cottageville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottageville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottageville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottageville paves the way for another one to be saved.
