Aqua's Story...
When the shelter received the call that a stray dog, a lab mix, had crawled up under the deck of a home and had puppies, they began to prepare a place for tiny babies. When the babies were one day old, they and their mom, named Jackson, came to the shelter. Jackson was fearful, and she still is except with people she knows, but she has been a very good mom to the puppies. They are six weeks old now and eating on their own, so applications are being accepted for them. What cuties! At only six weeks old, they weigh between 9 and 11 pounds each, so they are going to be large adult dogs. Aqua is one of the girls and she is a mixture of brown and black. These babies are cuddle bugs, and you'd enjoy watching them grow and learn. If you would like to adopt Aqua, contact the shelter for an application. Aqua would appreciate it!

Act quickly to adopt Aqua. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aqua, a Cottageville Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Cottageville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Cottageville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottageville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottageville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottageville paves the way for another one to be saved.
